Love to learn about space? Ever looked through a telescope at the stars? Join Summerset Winery as we host representatives from the Drake Municipal Observatory as we throw our very own Star Party! Get away from the city lights, and experience star gazing in the beauty of the Iowa country side. Our vineyard is perfectly placed between Indianola and Des Moines to provide easy access with reduced light pollution, making for a perfect place to stargaze.

This event is family friendly and free to the public and will begin just before sunset at 8:30pm and will go to 11:00pm. Wine, beer, sangria, soda and water will be available, as well as our usual food options. We’ll also be offering a selection of other space related activities for everyone to learn something new about space. No matter your age, this is sure to be a can’t miss event!

In order to provide the best stargazing environment, light will be reduced. It will be dark, and there will be low visibility in certain areas.
