To the Summerset Winery community,

After months of trying to find a path forward, we’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to permanently close Summerset Winery. We wanted you to hear this directly from us.

As many of you know, a waterline rupture caused extensive damage to our venue. We truly believed we could repair, restore, and reopen. We explored every option available to us. But between the rising cost of materials, construction estimates far beyond what we anticipated, high interest rates, and years of deferred maintenance that all surfaced at once, the reality is that reopening in a sustainable way is no longer possible.

This decision is not just a business one—it is deeply personal. Summerset has been part of this community for over 40 years. It has been a place where people began their marriages, celebrated anniversaries, gathered with friends, and watched families grow over generations. We know this space holds memories that cannot be replaced, and we feel that loss alongside you.

Please know this: we are not walking away because we don’t care. We are not closing because we didn’t try. We fought hard to find another outcome. But sometimes, despite every effort, the path forward simply isn’t there.

To everyone who has ever walked through our doors—whether for a wedding, a quiet glass of wine, a celebration, or a sunset on the patio—thank you. It has been an honor to be part of your stories, and those moments will always be part of Summerset’s legacy.

In the coming month, we will be announcing dates for an auction of equipment, furnishings, and site items. We will share details as soon as they are finalized for those who may want to take home a piece of Summerset.

This is a heartbreaking moment for us, and we know it will be for many of you as well. We ask for your kindness and understanding as we navigate this next chapter.
